Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Ramos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlos Eduardo Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Mascayano in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Buenaventura FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Severino Coutinho was slow to take the kick. During this time Ovalle City's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Severino Coutinho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Buenaventura FC's Carlos Eduardo Ramos did a great save. In the 18th minute, Buenaventura FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joe Uytterhaegen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 20 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Aizprua. A collision led to Ovalle City getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Quintén Arciego hit a great ball. Severino Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Ramos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joe Uytterhaegen in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Rigoberto Lozano got a free kick in the 45th minute. Ezmundo Urresti charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezmundo Urresti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Ovalle City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezmundo Urresti didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Bock to make the kick off. Carlos Eduardo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Uytterhaegen in the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match, Walter Bock tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pawel Siedlecki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 66 minutes, Walter Bock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buenaventura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walter Bock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Christian Castillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovalle City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severino Coutinho in the 70th minute. After taking down the ball on Ovalle City's corner Severino Coutinho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Eduardo Ramos quite easily take care of the ball. Buenaventura FC's Carlos Eduardo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Uytterhaegen in the 74th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Mascayano in the 78th minute of play. If Quintén Arciego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anacleto Mascayano kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Rigoberto Lozano struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Pawel Siedlecki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buenaventura FC. Rigoberto Lozano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Pawel Siedlecki made a huge save. Pawel Siedlecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Bock in the 98th minute of play.
