After 8 minutes Zerdalitepe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurício Donatello who took care of the corner kick. Maurício Donatello made a great header on Joinville United - FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Zerdalitepe's Francisco Barrionuevo managed to reach the ball for a save. 18 minutes into the match, Zerdalitepe's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Lara came free, but Francisco Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zerdalitepe's Ahmet Bedri Taşcan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tunç Akkaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Borys Gruchacz made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Fernando Vale got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Akif Akın to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Zerdalitepe got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Refik Bozer. The throw-in from Ahmet Refik Bozer in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Joinville United - FSCMZ's Lennart Khan. After some careless play in the Zerdalitepe defense, Mané Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Barrionuevo. The Zerdalitepe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Barrionuevo should have stopped the shot. Zerdalitepe's Francisco Barrionuevo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Zerdalitepe from getting a goal against them. When Joinville United - FSCMZ's Mané Lara in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Francisco Barrionuevo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Yang Hui Wen sent off a good shot on target. Joinville United - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Zerdalitepe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lennart Khan took the corner. The corner led Joinville United - FSCMZ's Didi Cardozo to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisco Barrionuevo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Francisco Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yang Hui Wen in the 81st minute of the match. Yang Hui Wen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Francisco Barrionuevo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Joinville United - FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
