Pirajiba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After the first half O MOTIVO ⚽ were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mazinho Hermes scored 1-5 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Otávio Leme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Basílio Cosme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Daniel Bertoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. O MOTIVO ⚽'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Bertoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pirajiba's Cristian Prado got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the match was over O MOTIVO ⚽ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirajiba throughout the match.
