Basílio Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Skövde AIK's Hjalmar Hägert got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Chen Ao Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Kevin Keegan hit a great ball. In the 20th match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Norström to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Chen Ao Fan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 33rd minute, Hjalmar Hägert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 36 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basílio Cosme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Chen Ao Fan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Basílio Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 40th minute of play. Chen Ao Fan struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Basílio Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skövde AIK. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

After 56 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Cosme was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the match, Chen Ao Fan notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme. Basílio Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the match, Pirajiba's goalkeeper Basílio Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Knut Rudberg. After having played for 66 minutes, Nelson de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirajiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chen Ao Fan scored 0-9 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Chen Ao Fan notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Pirajiba's Basílio Cosme. Basílio Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Skövde AIK's Kurt Hamrin was substituted for Chen Ao Fan. After 82 played minutes Pirajiba got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Magalhães. The supporters of Pirajiba booed when Skövde AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Norström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basílio Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georg Norström, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 89 minutes, Manfredo Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirajiba and the Skövde AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Skövde AIK's Jerry Williams was substituted for Kevin Keegan. A collision led to Pirajiba getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Manfredo Silva hit a great ball. Pirajiba's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jerry Williams 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-11. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Kurt Hamrin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Skövde AIK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
