Cecilio Martinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 7thth minute of the game Nick Heesen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Athletic Bostero's Cecilio Martinez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cecilio Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 8th minute Nick Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Martinez came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen. But to his dismay, Nick Heesen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Georg Hagberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Tipi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Cordarius to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Athletic Bostero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Spaan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Lihach showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Errando during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eduardo Errando hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
The wind increased when Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar made the kick off in the second half. Nick Heesen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cecilio Martinez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Georg Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Tanpınar in the 54th minute of play. Athletic Bostero's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Nick Heesen scored to the left of an out of position Cecilio Martinez, making the score, 1-4. Athletic Bostero's Cecilio Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Heesen in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Athletic Bostero's Braulio Mercurio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Athletic Bostero supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ágætis Byrjun's performance. The match ended with a win for Ágætis Byrjun.
