Kay Stormlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Vladimir Miheev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Zbyszko Cupial threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cesate's Gustaw Nienajadlo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 14 minutes into the match, Cesate's Enzo Giannantonio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimir Miheev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manolis Peridis made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when João Pedro Silva sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Canastro FC's Roger Palmeira to fire away a dangerous shot which Manolis Peridis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. João Pedro Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Manolis Peridis made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as João Pedro Silva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manolis Peridis. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Giannantonio in the 32nd minute of play forced Canastro FC's goalkeeper Vladimir Miheev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canastro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valter Abreu in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on Canastro FC's corner Valter Abreu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manolis Peridis quite easily take care of the ball. When Cesate's Angelo Vettori in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canastro FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th minute of the match Canastro FC got a corner. Cesate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valter Abreu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Valter Abreu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cesate's Manolis Peridis did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Pedro Silva to make the kick off. The supporters of Cesate booed when Canastro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Miheev made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Allar Luite sent off a good shot on target. Enzo Giannantonio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Cesate's Manolis Peridis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Silva in the 57th minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Enzo Giannantonio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vladimir Miheev. Enzo Giannantonio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Vettori in the 74th minute of play forced Canastro FC's goalkeeper Vladimir Miheev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cesate's goalkeeper Manolis Peridis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cesate's zone, João Pedro Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manolis Peridis came out of the goal and João Pedro Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesate made a substitution. Angelo Ferraris replaced Kay Stormlund. João Pedro Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manolis Peridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Cupial, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The corner led Canastro FC's Valter Abreu to fire away a dangerous shot which Manolis Peridis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Canastro FC's Vladimir Miheev got control of the ball when Angelo Vettori tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manolis Peridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Cupial in the 94th minute of the match. Vladimir Miheev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Ferraris in the 96th minute. Cesate were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
