The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rubens Senna hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, FC Drik's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mete Nared fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 11thth minute of the game Luca Postelnicescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mete Nared could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ted Kobbeltvedt made a huge save. Vila Nova FC's Mete Nared came free and shot a quick shot against goal 13 minutes in the game, fortunately Ted Kobbeltvedt had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Mete Nared's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ted Kobbeltvedt firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mete Nared could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ted Kobbeltvedt made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Postelnicescu in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Vila Nova FC booed when FC Drik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Barskov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mete Nared. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Lara in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Luca Postelnicescu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ted Kobbeltvedt to make any attempt to save it. 35 minutes into the match, FC Drik's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Postelnicescu came free, but Ted Kobbeltvedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Ernst Barskov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Kobbeltvedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luca Postelnicescu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The supporters of FC Drik booed when Vila Nova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, FC Drik's Ernst Barskov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fiori Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gunvald Mitens struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Fiori Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Drik. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernst Barskov made a kick off. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Postelnicescu in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Luca Postelnicescu notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt. Ted Kobbeltvedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57thth minute of the game Luca Postelnicescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota got control of the ball when Gunvald Mitens tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Vila Nova FC's Guilherme de Carvalho seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Guilherme de Carvalho the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vila Nova FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Guilherme de Carvalho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Willy Reitoft shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ted Kobbeltvedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mete Nared's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Lara in the 65th minute of play. Ted Kobbeltvedt came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Nova FC's Mete Nared. But to his dismay, Mete Nared quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 曾震渊, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mete Nared's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. The supporters of Vila Nova FC booed when FC Drik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devlet İşcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the FC Drik defense, Mete Nared kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt. The FC Drik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ted Kobbeltvedt should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Nared in the 89th minute of play forced FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mete Nared scored 6-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mete Nared received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
