With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaudencio Frichoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Club Real Cantera's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Bueno came free, but Gaudencio Frichoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. Victorio Mosen hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, Emanuel Phelipe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arlindo Guedes. Emanuel Phelipe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st match minute, Club Real Cantera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Maraman to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, Club Real Cantera's goalkeeper Gaudencio Frichoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno. With an all-out effort, AF CERRADO's Gaudencio Frichoso threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcos Paulista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Marcos Paulista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaudencio Frichoso was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 60th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Phelipe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arlindo Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by AF CERRADO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Phelipe was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Real Cantera's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AF CERRADO's goalie and right to Herminio Lano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AF CERRADO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Gaudencio Frichoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match AF CERRADO got a corner. Club Real Cantera's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Pombal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gaudencio Frichoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 75 minutes into the game, Iuri Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AF CERRADO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Real Cantera the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Real Cantera's Matias Santo got a free kick in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Club Real Cantera's goalkeeper Gaudencio Frichoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno.
