The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The corner ended in Marek Torm almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sarandi Futbol Club's Lorenzo Jurgi did a great save. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Rio in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Sarandi Futbol Club getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Leonides Clodio hit a great ball. The supporters of Vikingos FC booed when Sarandi Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Clodio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sarandi Futbol Club's Lorenzo Jurgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Cantona in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Cantona in the 27th minute of play forced Sarandi Futbol Club's goalkeeper Lorenzo Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Clodio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the game Leonides Clodio made a throw-in which Ignacio Nahia played forward. In the 33rd minute, Roque Vito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vikingos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marco Cantona took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lorenzo Jurgi. Lorenzo Jurgi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Gaizko in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarandi Futbol Club's goalkeeper Lorenzo Jurgi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Gaizko came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Cantona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lorenzo Jurgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
