With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslaw Cupial in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gildo Furtado saved America FC from getting behind. Gildo Furtado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Gaizko, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Lorenzo Jurgi made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Maicon Arruda sent off a good shot on target. Sarandi Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave America FC the free kick. Sarandi Futbol Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stephan Rille in the 43rd minute. The corner led Sarandi Futbol Club's Stephan Rille to fire away a dangerous shot which Gildo Furtado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sarandi Futbol Club's Lorenzo Jurgi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Sarandi Futbol Club from getting a goal against them.

America FC's Yuri Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Guilherme Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the America FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Donatello couldn't finish the play. Herminio Laurendi got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Sarandi Futbol Club's Herminio Laurendi got a free kick in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sarandi Futbol Club's zone, Yuri Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Jurgi came out of the goal and Yuri Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
