In the 22ndth minute of the game Slawomir Wojciechowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de la Plata's Ysidro Mallen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaspar Oxel kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Conrado Holz took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ysidro Mallen. Ysidro Mallen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio in the 27th minute of play forced KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goalkeeper Gustaw Fafinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Holz scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ysidro Mallen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Gustaw Fafinski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Flavio Larpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Gustaw Fafinski made a huge save. After 39 minutes, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes de la Plata and the KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Estudiantes de la Plata getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio hit a great ball. Ysidro Mallen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slawomir Wojciechowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
