Mustafa Cumhur Suergin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ahmet Çağrı Tecelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Koios Panayiotopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Çağrı Tecelli ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ivón Echavarri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, OMONOIA's Ivón Echavarri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mustafa Cumhur Suergin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Koios Panayiotopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Çağrı Tecelli in the 24th minute of play. Nikos Koulouris made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by İdmanocağı FK's Yavuz-Sultan Selim.
