After 17 minutes of play, NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lionel Van Den Broek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vellito Alguerdo came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by De Keikoppers's Sem De Kelper. But to his dismay, Sem De Kelper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Jari Alenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. NAGANO F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jari Alenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lionel Van Den Broek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Jari Alenius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NAGANO F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the match, De Keikoppers's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Alenius came free, but Lionel Van Den Broek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the De Keikoppers defense, Jari Alenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lionel Van Den Broek. The De Keikoppers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lionel Van Den Broek should have stopped the shot. Erk Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joachim Van Der Meren got free with Vellito Alguerdo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Sem De Kelper made the kick off in the second half. Jari Alenius scored 1-8 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lionel Van Den Broek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 55th minute of the match, Jari Alenius tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lionel Van Den Broek saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jari Alenius might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Van Den Broek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jari Alenius struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Lionel Van Den Broek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NAGANO F.C. After having played for 73 minutes, Jari Alenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NAGANO F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jari Alenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jari Alenius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Lionel Van Den Broek made a huge save. Jari Alenius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Van Den Broek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. If Jari Alenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, De Keikoppers's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Alenius came free, but Lionel Van Den Broek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joachim Van Der Meren scored 2-9 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vellito Alguerdo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the match, Gabriel Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lionel Van Den Broek. Gabriel Batistuta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-11. In the 96th minute of the match, Ariel Ortega got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lionel Van Den Broek was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. NAGANO F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
