A collision led to NAGANO F.C getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Pertti Koskenkorva hit a great ball. Bunda Lele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jari Alenius in the 6th minute of the match. NAGANO F.C's Ariel Ortega quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eliseu Montenegro, made in the 13th minute of the game. NAGANO F.C were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Remedios SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clodoveo Weather took the corner. Luisão Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match Clodoveo Weather sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bunda Lele skillfully saved the ball. Bunda Lele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jari Alenius in the 19th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, NAGANO F.C's Jari Alenius made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bunda Lele was left in no man's land by his defense there! NAGANO F.C's Ariel Ortega got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseu Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute Dom Fredon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vellito Alguerdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseu Montenegro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Jari Alenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bunda Lele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Eliseu Montenegro in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by NAGANO F.C's Diego Beckenbauer. If Jari Alenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half NAGANO F.C were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dom Fredon made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Remedios SC's Marcel Vander got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jari Alenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. NAGANO F.C were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Remedios SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clodoveo Weather took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Clodoveo Weather got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bunda Lele quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 70 minutes into the match, Jari Alenius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bunda Lele. Remedios SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jari Alenius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. If Ariel Ortega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NAGANO F.C's Gabriel Batistuta was substituted for Jari Alenius. Bunda Lele made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ariel Ortega sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Gabriel Batistuta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bunda Lele was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 86th minute of the match, Gabriel Batistuta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bunda Lele saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute Gabriel Batistuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bunda Lele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bunda Lele was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game.
