Barra EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráuzio Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 played minutes Barra EC got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Luz. Fabiano Reis struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Romeu Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LUZ SS. Romeu Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to LUZ SS getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Sidney Machado hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Barra EC's Hélio Luz got a free kick in the 84th minute. During the 90th minute of the match Giuseppe Tande completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Giuseppe Tande a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Giuseppe Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of LUZ SS booed when Barra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luiz Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Dráuzio Pinheiro made a huge save.
