An unexpectedly hard shot by Zamora Ziarza in the 7th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Dan Gheară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Caldo de Gallina Ranchero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose-Antonio Urioste didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Clay Pringle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Caldo de Gallina Ranchero getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Xinaro Montemiuño hit a great ball. Xose Valtierra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Ţopescu in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Cosmos Soccer Club were awarded a corner. Cosmos Soccer Club's Iago Aspas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Xose Valtierra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Xose Valtierra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Ţopescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cosmos Soccer Club's Dan Gheară proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Cosmos Soccer Club from getting a goal against them. Xose Valtierra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Ţopescu in the 37th minute of the match. Caldo de Gallina Ranchero's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waldo Bean ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cosmos Soccer Club's Waldo Bean was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Xose Valtierra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jose-Antonio Urioste stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xose Valtierra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Ţopescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ivan Ţopescu took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xose Valtierra. Xose Valtierra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 57th match minute, Caldo de Gallina Ranchero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Bertol to maneuver through the defense. Cosmos Soccer Club's Dan Gheară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose-Antonio Urioste in the 66th minute of play. If Nicanor Bertol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But to his dismay, Nicanor Bertol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
