An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 14th minute of play forced EL FIRULETE's goalkeeper Hermengildo Fiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Berdoi in the 16th minute of play. Jimeno Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ismael Nazario Serre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. EL FIRULETE's Hermengildo Fiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Berdoi in the 44th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenios Papadogiorgakis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The long shot by Marcel Pinho in the 47th minute really tested Hermengildo Fiz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimeno Berdoi made a kick off. Jimeno Berdoi hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match, Jeronimo Corderall tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Telmo Peres got a free kick in the 59th minute. EL FIRULETE's Jeronimo Corderall shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 60th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ismael Nazario Serre but with some difficulty. EL FIRULETE's Gaston Alfonso was substituted for Jeronimo Corderall. EL FIRULETE's Tomas Taurino was substituted for Santiago Haitz. EL FIRULETE's Kader Wing was substituted for Vicente Pelayo. After 64 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Peres. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kader Wing in the 65th minute of play. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute Gaston Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. EL FIRULETE's Gaston Alfonso managed to work through Papunhas EC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gaston Alfonso dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 71 minutes into the game, EL FIRULETE's Gaston Alfonso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Nazario Serre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Ismael Nazario Serre successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when EL FIRULETE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Berdoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Alfonso scored 0-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jimeno Berdoi hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Gaston Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Nazario Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Pinho in the 89th minute of play forced EL FIRULETE's goalkeeper Hermengildo Fiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Alfonso in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched EL FIRULETE eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
