Ruperto Maria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 6 minutes into the match, Fan Xing Zhou notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of C.A. Peñarol's Alirio Ducoing. Alirio Ducoing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hồ Kyhn in the 9th minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Alirio Ducoing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Costin Duca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alirio Ducoing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Salmuera CP's Torcuato Herrero made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alirio Ducoing was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29thth minute of the game Costin Duca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Peñarol's Alirio Ducoing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fan Xing Zhou in the 31st minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Alirio Ducoing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alirio Ducoing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torcuato Herrero in the 32nd minute of play. Gerónimo Molina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ruperto Maria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute of the match C.A. Peñarol got a corner. Salmuera CP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco Nancupel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Marco Nancupel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salmuera CP's Ruperto Maria did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fan Xing Zhou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to C.A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Estebano Levenier hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Costin Duca got free with Alirio Ducoing in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 52 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Martinez came free, but Alirio Ducoing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Costin Duca took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Alirio Ducoing to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th minute Pablo Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alirio Ducoing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peñarol's Alirio Ducoing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Peñarol from getting a goal against them. C.A. Peñarol's Alirio Ducoing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Martinez in the 89th minute of play. Alirio Ducoing was a little too slow when Fan Xing Zhou got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-6. Salmuera CP's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
