TalleresUnited's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garanhão do SUL the free kick. Michal Kaczanka hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of TalleresUnited booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Garcez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Alex Frasca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Casado. Jesus Casado took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Frasca. Alex Frasca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 44th minute, TalleresUnited's Jesus Casado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Garanhão do SUL's Eusébio Mesquita was substituted for João Viana.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torcato Rebocho to make the kick off. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Aloísio Garcez hit a great ball. In the 56th minute TalleresUnited were awarded a corner. Ivan Jacindo went to the cornerflag to take it. Alex Frasca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Casado's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Jesus Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Frasca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torcato Rebocho had several of the TalleresUnited's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-1 score and a disappointed Nestor Firmin as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cassiano Telinhos's late challenge caught a TalleresUnited's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
