José Gonçalves went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in José Gonçalves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sparta Torex's Dominik Kornatowski did a great save. Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Buczko in the 30th minute of play forced Girona FC's goalkeeper Lastur Murcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dominik Kornatowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Lastur Murcia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 44 minutes into the match, Sparta Torex's goal looked a bit too open when Walme Carballido came free, but Dominik Kornatowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radomil Pisarcik during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roman Gdaniec might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dominik Kornatowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roman Gdaniec ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roman Gdaniec to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Girona FC's Walme Carballido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dominik Kornatowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute David Palau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Kornatowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sparta Torex's Dominik Kornatowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Palau in the 76th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Sparta Torex's goalkeeper Dominik Kornatowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Palau. 86 minutes into the match, Girona FC's David Palau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dominik Kornatowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, David Palau dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dominik Kornatowski, 0-6. 94 minutes into the match, Sparta Torex's goalkeeper Dominik Kornatowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Palau.
