Fausto Nisio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. phoinix fc's attentive José Gómez managed to snatch the ball when Sixten Norberg made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. A collision led to Fulham Broadway FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rudolf Nordstedt hit a great ball. The supporters of phoinix fc booed when Fulham Broadway FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Nordstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. phoinix fc's Fausto Nisio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Bergqvist in the 18th minute of play. After 23 played minutes phoinix fc got a freekick which was hit by José Gómez. Fausto Nisio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Ahlstedt in the 29th minute of play. If Sven-Edvin Unesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute Sven-Edvin Unesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Nisio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Nisio saved phoinix fc from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Rudolf Nordstedt made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Nisio. phoinix fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Fausto Nisio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Sven-Edvin Unesson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fulham Broadway FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 46th minute of play forced phoinix fc's goalkeeper Fausto Nisio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sven-Edvin Unesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 68th minute, Fulham Broadway FC's Sven-Edvin Unesson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After having played for 70 minutes, Sven-Edvin Unesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulham Broadway FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Edvin Unesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven-Edvin Unesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Fausto Nisio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulham Broadway FC's Sven-Edvin Unesson got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Nisio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 78th minute of play. Sven-Edvin Unesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Edvin Unesson got free with Fausto Nisio in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Börje Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aku Ylönen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Aku Ylönen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Blomqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Sven-Edvin Unesson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fulham Broadway FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Edvin Unesson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Nisio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Börje Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Máximo Cozzetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulham Broadway FC played a much better game than phoinix fc and deserved their victory. The phoinix fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
