Franklin Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Villa Verde FC's Pelayo Mendez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Geovanni Queirós, made in the 21st minute of the game. In the 21st match minute, Vasco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Queirós to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Goodman got free with Franklin Bittencourt in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Franklin Bittencourt managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Villa Verde FC's Saul Goodman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 31 minutes into the match, Saul Goodman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franklin Bittencourt. Vasco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saul Goodman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 33rd minute, Geovanni Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Saul Goodman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Franklin Bittencourt, 5-0. In the 40th minute Saul Goodman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guilherme Heidemann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 73 played minutes Vasco FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano da Cunha. Villa Verde FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Guilherme Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Vasco FC's Raphael Veiga got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Luís Guilherme Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franklin Bittencourt. Vasco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Guilherme Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. When the referee ended the match the Villa Verde FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
