Máté Gelencsér blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerônimo Maranhense having to make a save. Jerônimo Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Máté Gelencsér sent off a good shot on target. Jerônimo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máté Gelencsér in the 18th minute of the match. If Jonathan da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máté Gelencsér in the 21st minute of play forced Nitra FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes Nitra FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Ribeiro. Géza Veress took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerônimo Maranhense. Nitra FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
