The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Nitra FC booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute of the match Oliver Veentjer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franklin Bittencourt skillfully saved the ball. Nitra FC's Jonathan da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franklin Bittencourt made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Nando Pinho sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Vasco FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano da Cunha hit a great ball. When Williams Ferrari came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Nitra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Williams Ferrari couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fabiano da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Jonathan da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Nitra FC's Jonathan da Cunha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Franklin Bittencourt. Franklin Bittencourt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 37th minute, Jonathan da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franklin Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Nitra FC's Jonathan da Cunha. But to his dismay, Jonathan da Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Nitra FC's Jerônimo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Heidemann in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Wanderson Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guilherme Heidemann to make the kick off. Oliver Veentjer kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Nitra FC's Jerônimo Maranhense got control of the ball when Raphael Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerônimo Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Raphael Veiga sent off a good shot on target. After taking down the ball on Vasco FC's corner Zé Carlos Mazza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jerônimo Maranhense quite easily take care of the ball. In the 64th minute, Luiz Fabiano da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Veentjer in the 65th minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Franklin Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But to his dismay, Williams Ferrari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nitra FC had played much better football throughout.
