Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Braz Tasso in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Carlos Travassos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the game, FC Dream Team's Braz Tasso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antônio Carlos Travassos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. FC Dream Team's Flávio Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Santos hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Antônio Carlos Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubim Mendonça in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match FC Dream Team got a corner. Mixto Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Laurentino Tavares ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rubim Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Antônio Carlos Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dream Team. After a rather tough play, FC Dream Team's Rubim Mendonça got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mixto Esporte Clube's zone, Braz Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Travassos came out of the goal and Braz Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rubim Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Braz Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half FC Dream Team were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cauã Marques made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Mixto Esporte Clube's Szilárd Lengyel got a free kick in the 55th minute. A hard shot 57 in the game by Pascoal Guimarães from a close distance when the talented Antônio Carlos Travassos managed to make a qualified save. Mixto Esporte Clube's players were relieved. After having played for 60 minutes, Szilárd Lengyel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mixto Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szilárd Lengyel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Mixto Esporte Clube's Antônio Carlos Travassos got control of the ball when Pascoal Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mixto Esporte Clube's Cauã Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braz Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes Mixto Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Laurentino Tavares who took care of the corner kick. Antônio Carlos Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braz Tasso in the 74th minute of play. When the match was over FC Dream Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mixto Esporte Clube throughout the match.
