In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thunderstorm Riders's goalkeeper Damazy Kensicki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Wanderson Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kiev FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thunderstorm Riders the free kick. Martin Tudoran was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Aureliusz Polkoski fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thunderstorm Riders's protests and gave Aureliusz Polkoski a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Thunderstorm Riders's Aureliusz Polkoski got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Damazy Kensicki came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kiev FC's Anselmo Iturri. But to his dismay, Anselmo Iturri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 70th minute Anselmo Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Kensicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Konrad Resel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kiev FC's Cirilo Frederico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cirilo Frederico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliusz Polkoski, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Houseman in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cirilo Frederico saved Kiev FC from getting behind. Thunderstorm Riders's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
