With 3 minutes on the clock, Boris Lindqvist commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Shymkent Camels:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carqueja:s goal. Horacio Zarricueta had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Mario Vielva's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goalkeeper Horacio Zarricueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ereinotz Masbernat. When Jiang Cheng Peng came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Shymkent Camels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jiang Cheng Peng couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliverio Cavallosa in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Zarricueta saved Shymkent Camels from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goal looked a bit too open when Oliverio Cavallosa came free, but Horacio Zarricueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Batzer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Milla's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute, Mario Vielva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Zarricueta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Vladimir Kugotov might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Batzer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladimir Kugotov ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Shymkent Camels's Ayrton Schumacher got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Lars Batzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Milla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimir Kugotov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute of the match Carqueja got a corner. Shymkent Camels's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Vielva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Carqueja's Mario Vielva to fire away a dangerous shot which Horacio Zarricueta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 68th minute Elizardo Massana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Zarricueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Zarricueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elizardo Massana, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Carqueja's Tiago Zotillo was substituted for Oliverio Cavallosa. In the 78th match minute, Carqueja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cortez Olalde to maneuver through the defense. Jiang Cheng Peng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Lars Batzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars Batzer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Milla in the 83rd minute. Sebastian Milla kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Mario Vielva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Zarricueta having to interfere. Carqueja's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
