The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marin Goodson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CF Tétraultville's Marin Goodson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Matias Villaspasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Merlin Castro in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Sung McKinley made a precise shot to the right of Matias Villaspasa. CF Tétraultville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Merlin Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Villaspasa. CF Tétraultville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Merlin Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Merlin Castros short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Matias Villaspasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jermaine Richmond came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by CF Tétraultville's Damien Castillo. But to his dismay, Damien Castillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of Khachatryan booed when CF Tétraultville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damien Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, CF Tétraultville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mavrudi Tanov to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Merlin Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Matias Villaspasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tigran Kirakosyan got free with Matias Villaspasa in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 38 minutes, Merlin Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khachatryan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Merlin Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Khachatryan's goalkeeper Jermaine Richmond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Khachatryan's Ervin Huber got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 47 played minutes Khachatryan got a freekick which was hit by Petros Oganesyan. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merlin Castro was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Marin Goodson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CF Tétraultville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Goodson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute Merlin Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Villaspasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Khachatryan's zone, Man Holliday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jermaine Richmond came out of the goal and Man Holliday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Merlin Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CF Tétraultville's Matias Villaspasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Man Holliday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Villaspasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merlin Castro in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by CF Tétraultville's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petros Oganesyan was slow to take the kick. During this time Khachatryan's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Arin Mndoyants got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Matias Villaspasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Arin Mndoyants sped through CF Tétraultville's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matias Villaspasa. Matias Villaspasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merlin Castro in the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CF Tétraultville's Charles-Henri Lequeux got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arin Mndoyants in the 76th minute of play forced CF Tétraultville's goalkeeper Matias Villaspasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jermaine Richmond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damien Castillo in the 79th minute of play. In the 89th minute Arin Mndoyants shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Villaspasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Merlin Castro in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Villaspasa saved CF Tétraultville from getting behind. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by CF Tétraultville's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petros Oganesyan was slow to take the kick. During this time Khachatryan's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of CF Tétraultville's goalie and right to Sung McKinley. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. CF Tétraultville's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. CF Tétraultville's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
