After a defensive mix-up in Clason's zone, Lukáš Katačić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Tallia came out of the goal and Lukáš Katačić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Claris in the 89th minute of play. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clason's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. John James was slow to take the kick. During this time Florida Gulf Coast's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that John James got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gabriel Tallia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
