In the 81st minute of the match, Carlos Alberto Azevedo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonatan Parrau was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. During the 84th minute of the match Hipolito Beltran completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hipolito Beltran a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After some careless play in the Copaquire defense, Carlos Alberto Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonatan Parrau. The Copaquire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonatan Parrau should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Nacional's Carlos Alberto Azevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonatan Parrau. That made the score 0-7 after 93 minutes of play.
