The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Žydrūnas Pauža in the 6th minute of the match. Oswaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Emrah Dolunay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oswaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Žydrūnas Pauža in the 8th minute of play. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Emrah Dolunay in the 9th minute of play. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Tonon in the 12th minute of the match. Oswaldo Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Žydrūnas Pauža, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Carl Rundell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, MarineerS FK's Mehmet Emrah Dolunay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Paraíba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Carl Rundell took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo Paraíba. Oswaldo Paraíba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tekin Batırhan in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Pedrinho Hoffmann took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Tayfun Tanfer to make any attempt to save it. Oswaldo Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Tonon, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Davide Tonon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oswaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Rundell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oswaldo Paraíba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehmet Emrah Dolunay went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Oswaldo Paraíba came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by MarineerS FK's Carl Rundell. But to his dismay, Carl Rundell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Disappointed in the 2-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrinho Hoffmann made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Davide Tonon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oswaldo Paraíba. Atlético-PR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davide Tonon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Rundell in the 57th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Oswaldo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Žydrūnas Pauža in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Žydrūnas Pauža shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MarineerS FK booed when Atlético-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. MarineerS FK's John Antolin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Oswaldo Paraíba but with some difficulty. Oswaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tekin Batırhan in the 64th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Oswaldo Paraíba successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Žydrūnas Pauža in the 68th minute of the match. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Rundell in the 70th minute of the match. Davide Tonon came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oswaldo Paraíba could save by the left post. With a little luck, Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba got control of the ball when Žydrūnas Pauža tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oswaldo Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Žydrūnas Pauža in the 83rd minute. MarineerS FK's Derviş Akçınar was substituted for Lucien Vercalsteren. After some careless play in the Atlético-PR defense, Carl Rundell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oswaldo Paraíba. The Atlético-PR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswaldo Paraíba should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the game, Aycan Lütfi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oswaldo Paraíba. Aycan Lütfi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-8. MarineerS FK played a much better game than Atlético-PR and deserved their victory. The Atlético-PR players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
