Jaunti Requenes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Casco in the 5th minute of play. La Fusiion were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after UE Cornella's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hector Rionda took the corner. Hector Rionda made a great header on La Fusiion's corner, it was just that UE Cornella's Nofre Amorebieta managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, UE Cornella's Nofre Amorebieta got control of the ball when Cai Bellmunt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match UE Cornella got a corner. La Fusiion's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edvin Vennerberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 18th minute George Echavarri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaunti Requenes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, UE Cornella's Nofre Amorebieta got control of the ball when Bixintxo Pereña tried to sneak it across the goal line. UE Cornella's Nofre Amorebieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bahiano Puntones in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, George Echavarri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Bahiano Puntones kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nofre Amorebieta. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. Nofre Amorebieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bahiano Puntones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute of the match, Cai Bellmunt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nofre Amorebieta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Vegetti in the 41st minute of play forced La Fusiion's goalkeeper Jaunti Requenes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Casco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jaunti Requenes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cai Bellmunt to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Cai Bellmunt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nofre Amorebieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UE Cornella's George Echavarri got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Bahiano Puntones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nofre Amorebieta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. George Echavarri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaunti Requenes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Echavarri's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Echavarri in the 69th minute of play forced La Fusiion's goalkeeper Jaunti Requenes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute of the match UE Cornella got a corner. La Fusiion's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edvin Vennerberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led UE Cornella's Edvin Vennerberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Jaunti Requenes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nofre Amorebieta came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by La Fusiion's Cai Bellmunt. But to his dismay, Cai Bellmunt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After having played for 85 minutes, Edvin Vennerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UE Cornella's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvin Vennerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Echavarri in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaunti Requenes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute of the match, George Echavarri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jaunti Requenes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 91 minutes into the game, Xabat Vadillos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UE Cornella's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Fusiion the free kick. After 91 played minutes UE Cornella got a freekick which was hit by Xabat Vadillos. When UE Cornella's George Echavarri in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Fusiion's goalie prevented a goal. Segundo Casco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaunti Requenes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahiano Puntones in the 96th minute of play forced UE Cornella's goalkeeper Nofre Amorebieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UE Cornella's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
