Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Çetin Kantürk started the match with the kick off. Reynaldo Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çetin Kantürk in the 4th minute of play. After 6 minutes of play, FC Ruscova's Marco Verratti made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Stephen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when FC Ruscova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Algot Walroth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Roderigo. Reynaldo Stephen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Ferrante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Marcu Iovan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Reynaldo Stephen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Ferrante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, FC Ruscova's Çetin Kantürk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reynaldo Stephen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Ruscova were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Club Sportivo Italiano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Albert Harbuz took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Fausto Ferrante managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ruscova's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Ferrante was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Stephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hilario Rayman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Marcu Iovan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ruscova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcu Iovan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Masao Koriotto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Marco Verratti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Reynaldo Stephen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute of the match, Evelio Pes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Helmuth Duckadam saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Club Sportivo Italiano's zone, Marcu Iovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Stephen came out of the goal and Marcu Iovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reynaldo Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çetin Kantürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The FC Ruscova fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when FC Ruscova's Çetin Kantürk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half FC Ruscova were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evelio Pes to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Reynaldo Stephen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Reynaldo Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Verratti in the 52nd minute of the match. FC Ruscova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Albert Harbuz in the 54th minute. The corner led to FC Ruscova's Marco Verratti getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Wilhelm Steinitz's late challenge caught a FC Ruscova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilhelm Steinitz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Wilhelm Steinitz hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Marco Verratti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Stephen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcu Iovan got free with Reynaldo Stephen in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 64 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Rayman. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Ruscova's Marcu Iovan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reynaldo Stephen. That made the score 1-5 after 69 minutes of play. 72 minutes into the game, Marco Verratti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reynaldo Stephen. Marco Verratti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. With a little luck, Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen got control of the ball when Çetin Kantürk tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Ferrante got free with Reynaldo Stephen in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Ruscova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Albert Harbuz in the 80th minute. Reynaldo Stephen had great luck who in the 82ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Marco Verratti from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The audience was convinced that Marco Verratti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Stephen was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Reynaldo Stephen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Ferrante in the 85th minute. After 88 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Araoz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Çetin Kantürk in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo Stephen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the match, Fausto Ferrante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Stephen. Club Sportivo Italiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Ferrante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Evelio Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmuth Duckadam having to interfere. Fausto Ferrante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Stephen made a huge save.
