A very good chance for a goal. 6 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pacifico Tejero came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Lamego acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Reine Svanström. Pacifico Tejero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amadeu Lamego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pacifico Tejero in the 16th minute of the match. Edmund Bäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Lamego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmund Bäck ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pacifico Tejero in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Lamego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bartosz Bryk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Meirelles in the 21st minute of play. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pacifico Tejero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Feyli Army's Karl Meisl quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Osmar França, made in the 25th minute of the game. Bartosz Bryk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes The Feyli Army got a freekick which was hit by Petter Brummer. When Carlos Eduardo Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SAO JOANENSE FC fans jumped to their feet. Pacifico Tejero scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeu Lamego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pacifico Tejero struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Amadeu Lamego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Feyli Army. If Pacifico Tejero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pacifico Tejero in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jairo Dante made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Pacifico Tejero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Lamego was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 55 minutes into the game, Pacifico Tejero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. SAO JOANENSE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Feyli Army the free kick. The supporters of The Feyli Army booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Håkan Bäck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeu Lamego skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Osmar França hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on The Feyli Army's corner Håkan Bäck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Amadeu Lamego quite easily take care of the ball. If Alessandro Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pacifico Tejero came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beto Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartosz Bryk having to interfere.
