Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Edvin Dalgren to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henry Costa got free with Francisco Raymond in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Capibaribe Stars's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wilton Fontes in the 55th minute.
