Jeremias Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Landulfos FC's Régis Vidal got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Emanuel Vigil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Emanuel Vigil looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Landulfos FC's Jeremias Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vigil in the 22nd minute of play. After 24th play minutes Emanuel Vigil shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Jeremias Pires and just under the crossbar into goal. Jeremias Pires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Vigil's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 29th match minute, Landulfos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Régis Vidal to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Delassus in the 31st minute of play. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save PEÇONHENTO FC MG from getting a goal against them. After 44 minutes, Leonel Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PEÇONHENTO FC MG and the Landulfos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, one of PEÇONHENTO FC MG:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for PEÇONHENTO FC MG.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedrão Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 95th minute Peter Paul Crouch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Landulfos FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PEÇONHENTO FC MG's performance. The match ended with a win for PEÇONHENTO FC MG.
