IFK Göteborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edwin Linde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthias Ahlstedt was the one to do the kick off. Håkan Deckbergh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel Hartel went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Edbert Scherbaum left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KIEZKICKER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Håkan Deckbergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Hartel in the 93rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jamal Musiala during the 94th minute.
