Radu Cunea came out of the goal and Jiang Xing Jun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidijus Merkelis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kazimierz Klewinski in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's goalkeeper Ovidijus Merkelis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marko Valcarce. Nojus Bikas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radu Cunea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radu Cunea was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute Kazimierz Klewinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidijus Merkelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kazimierz Klewinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ovidijus Merkelis made a huge save. Ovidijus Merkelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Valcarce in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Geležinis Vilkas's Nojus Bikas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radu Cunea narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
