The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Romulo Gelacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saffet Müjdat in the 20th minute of play. When Andaç Ergunalp fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ANTALYASPOR's protests and gave Andaç Ergunalp a yellow card for diving instead. Andaç Ergunalp kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Sabahattin Onurhan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Norberto Fresco. Saffet Müjdat took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romulo Gelacio.
