An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Arne Hellsing in the 5th minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Timo Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vasco Lamego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Uriel Lano got control of the ball when Don Merlot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Don Merlots short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Uriel Lano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th match minute, SSV Ulm 1846 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephane Bosch to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberigo Sessa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Uriel Lano. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Alberigo Sessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Lano having to interfere. When Don Merlot came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the SSV Ulm 1846 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Merlot couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vasco Lamego in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timo Courtois saved SSV Ulm 1846 from getting behind. Derek Henderson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match.

CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Carlos Alberto Tevez was substituted for Sven-Arne Hellsing. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Zachariasz Pstrongowski was substituted for Vasco Lamego. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 made a substitution. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timo Courtois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uriel Lano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Merlot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by SSV Ulm 1846's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sotos Kastaniou was slow to take the kick. During this time CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's players had a chance to rest. Timo Courtois made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Carlos Alberto Tevez sent off a good shot on target. When Carlos Alberto Tevez came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Tevez couldn't finish the play. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Uriel Lano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Sessa in the 84th minute of play. Carlos Alberto Tevez might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timo Courtois. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Alberto Tevez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute of the match, Carlos Alberto Tevez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Timo Courtois was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Uriel Lano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Merlot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goal looked a bit too open when Don Merlot came free, but Uriel Lano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Kopf charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Kopf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Alex Kopf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SSV Ulm 1846.
