Dromes FC's Humberto Lleir got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atilano Benat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Trişcu in the 14th minute of the match. Dromes FC's Atilano Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Trişcu in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Dromes FC booed when Gzpn Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petre Burdea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Lleir got free with Augustin Bălăiță in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Atilano Benat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Sterescu in the 29th minute of play. Dromes FC's Atilano Benat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Sterescu in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Marko in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augustin Bălăiță saved Gzpn Timisoara from getting behind. Sabin Tatomir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atilano Benat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Humberto Lleir sped through Gzpn Timisoara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Augustin Bălăiță. 47 minutes into the game, Branislav Vitev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dromes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gzpn Timisoara the free kick. After 47 played minutes Dromes FC got a freekick which was hit by Branislav Vitev. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sabin Tatomir was the one to do the kick off. Gzpn Timisoara's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dan Scutaru in the 53rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Adrian Trişcu managed to volley towards the net.
