Waud De Geyter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mavrudi Chapalov in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Benjamin Carberry had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augustin Bălăiță. Gzpn Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Carberry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Tatomir, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gzpn Timisoara's Dan Scutaru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Waud De Geyter in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Silver Squad AFC booed when Gzpn Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Scutaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augustin Bălăiță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Carberry's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Waud De Geyter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Sterescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. After 43 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Mavrudi Chapalov. Mavrudi Chapalov's late challenge caught a Silver Squad AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mavrudi Chapalov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gzpn Timisoara getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Mavrudi Chapalov hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabin Tatomir made a kick off. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Daniel Sterescu sped through Silver Squad AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waud De Geyter. In the 83rd match minute, Gzpn Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mavrudi Chapalov to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Fernando Olo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waud De Geyter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waud De Geyter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mavrudi Chapalov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Van Caubergen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Augustin Bălăiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
