Brent Nelleboedske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 石翔晨 having to interfere. 石翔晨 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeroen Weygaers in the 24th minute of play. Stein Spoelberch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Tercero in the 26th minute of play. 石翔晨 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeroen Weygaers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 石翔晨 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeroen Weygaers's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Boca Jr. FC's goal looked a bit too open when King Eken came free, but 石翔晨 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stein Spoelberch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Jakes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 石翔晨 made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when King Eken sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when Boca Jr. FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Papo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Bartuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Boca Jr. FC's Alfonso Kauldi got a free kick in the 44th minute. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when Boca Jr. FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Bartuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when King Eken made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Christian Guifre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Jr. FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Brugge the free kick. Stein Spoelberch was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Everardo Bartuelo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 68 minute of play.
