An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Balcells in the 13th minute of play forced Argentino de Banfield's goalkeeper Leonides Valentine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Ricardo Carballido made a precise shot to the right of Leonides Valentine. Argentino de Banfield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Leonides Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Marques in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Argentino de Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Carballido came free, but Leonides Valentine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celestino Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Leonides Valentine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Valentine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Carballido's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Nunez Berasko kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Leonides Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Carballido in the 46th minute of play. Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Berasko in the 47th minute of play.

Junta De Los Rios CF made a substitution. Florentino Yeste replaced Celestino Marques. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nunez Berasko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Carballido in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Valentine saved Argentino de Banfield from getting behind. A hard shot 54 in the game by Ricardo Carballido from a close distance when the talented Leonides Valentine managed to make a qualified save. Argentino de Banfield's players were relieved. Ricardo Carballidos short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Leonides Valentine to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Berasko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Valentine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amuruza Lillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Castulo in the 70th minute of the match. If Ricardo Carballido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Berasko struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Amuruza Lillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentino de Banfield. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentino de Banfield's goalkeeper Leonides Valentine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nunez Berasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tipi Riells in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Valentine saved Argentino de Banfield from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Tipi Riells left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Junta De Los Rios CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Junta De Los Rios CF's Argider Astudillo got a free kick in the 95th minute.
