The crowd rose to their feet as Ildefonso Fliz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hilario Faron. That made the score 2-0 in the 7 minute of play. Pankracy Zawacki came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Dep. Union Madereros's Lucas Abella. But to his dismay, Lucas Abella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Club Dep. Union Madereros's Lucas Abella got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amir Abou Jisser in the 20th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Hilario Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Faron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amir Abou Jisser in the 24th minute of the match. The corner ended in Shaun De Battista almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hilario Faron did a great save. In the 29th play minute Alfred Coleiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hilario Faron. 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Fliz in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Faron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Ildefonso Fliz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilario Faron was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th minute of the match, Ildefonso Fliz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hilario Faron was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Union Madereros were awarded a corner. Ciro Abaurre went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Aurelio Clodio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pankracy Zawacki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 45 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Fliz notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hilario Faron. Hilario Faron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

A collision led to Meerkats FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Amir Abou Jisser hit a great ball. In the 53rd match minute, Club Dep. Union Madereros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Santana to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Pankracy Zawacki managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Club Dep. Union Madereros's Jaime Laurgain fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 56 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Union Madereros's goal looked a bit too open when Amir Abou Jisser came free, but Hilario Faron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Faron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Fliz in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, Meerkats FC's Pankracy Zawacki got control of the ball when Cristobal Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hilario Faron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amir Abou Jisser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilario Faron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Fliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes of play, Meerkats FC's Ildefonso Fliz made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Faron was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Amir Abou Jisser in the 69th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Hilario Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Dep. Union Madereros made a substitution. Cornelio Colas replaced Cristobal Santana. If Cornelio Colas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ildefonso Fliz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Murilo Leão from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Pankracy Zawacki's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 84 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Union Madereros's goal looked a bit too open when Amir Abou Jisser came free, but Hilario Faron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ildefonso Fliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meerkats FC's George Axiaq got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Union Madereros defense, Ildefonso Fliz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Faron. The Club Dep. Union Madereros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Faron should have stopped the shot. If Gilbert Incorvaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Meerkats FC had played much better football throughout.
