The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredo Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arvid Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 10th minute Albin Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Paraibano came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Albin Nilsson. But to his dismay, Albin Nilsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alfredo Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvid Carlsson in the 14th minute of the match. Bengt Bouchard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmy Olsson having to make a save. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard got a free kick in the 19th minute. Alfredo Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 34th minute of play. Alfredo Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arvid Carlsson's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marquinhos Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Paraibano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julien Staffelbach went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt Bouchard was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Arvid Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linköpings AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Carlsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A wasted opportunity for Linköpings AIK. In the 66th minute, Arvid Carlsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Paraibano. The goal made the score 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Bouchard in the 69th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jailson Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to FÊNIX F.C. getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jailson Favoretto hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Albin Nilsson came free, but Alfredo Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute Arvid Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredo Paraibano. That made the score 0-7 after 93 minutes of play. 97 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Albin Nilsson came free, but Alfredo Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FÊNIX F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Linköpings AIK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
