Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bengt Bouchard started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when FÊNIX F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bin Shevchenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Paraibano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. With a little luck, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite got control of the ball when Bengt Bouchard tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bin Shevchenko came free, but Alfredo Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt Bouchard in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 21stth minute of the game Bin Shevchenko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fábio Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo de Toledo in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Evaristo Martins got a free kick in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bin Shevchenko came free, but Alfredo Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FÊNIX F.C. defense, Bin Shevchenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Paraibano. The FÊNIX F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Paraibano should have stopped the shot. Bin Shevchenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alfredo Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bin Shevchenko was the one to do the kick off. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Valério Zonta replaced Tiago Gabriel Damião. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 59th minute of play. Alfredo Paraibano was a little too slow when Bin Shevchenko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-4. After 68 minutes of play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Paraibano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Severino Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Genílson Ferraz replaced João Carlos Medeiros. After 75 played minutes Blumenau Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Severino Leme. After some careless play in the FÊNIX F.C. defense, Bin Shevchenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Paraibano. The FÊNIX F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Paraibano should have stopped the shot. Bin Shevchenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Paraibano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Bin Shevchenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Paraibano having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bin Shevchenko got free with Alfredo Paraibano in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the FÊNIX F.C. defense, Bin Shevchenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Paraibano. The FÊNIX F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Paraibano should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Blumenau Esporte Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
