In the 17th minute, Ionel Siniştean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beržas Lideika took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faizal Mathews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sait Gündeş came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid Bucharest's 马广竞. But to his dismay, 马广竞 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 33rd minute, 孔响誉 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes Rapid Bucharest's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dariusz Wielopolski who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Sait Gündeş successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sait Gündeş made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Boguslaw Furgat sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ryan Politiek hit a great ball. Boguslaw Furgat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sait Gündeş came out and tried to block the shot, but Boguslaw Furgat slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute. 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Boguslaw Furgat scored to the left of an out of position Sait Gündeş, making the score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

But to his dismay, Ong Siang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Sait Gündeş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Ţirpe in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 马广竞 in the 67th minute of play forced 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goalkeeper Sait Gündeş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Furgat came free, but Sait Gündeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 defense, Ionel Siniştean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sait Gündeş. The 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sait Gündeş should have stopped the shot. Alex Baciu kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Rapid Bucharest were the better team. Rapid Bucharest's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
