Iurie Miclescu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Roman Txeru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Bucharest. Beržas Lideika took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rapid Bucharest's Beržas Lideika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Nazario in the 34th minute of play. Aguila Romana were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Rapid Bucharest's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcin Prosowski took the corner. Iurie Miclescu ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Americo Dorio replaced Basilio Nazario. 75 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucharest's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Dorio came free, but Beržas Lideika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Americo Dorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beržas Lideika read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Benigno Luzaide struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Beržas Lideika didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguila Romana. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rapid Bucharest had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
