The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when Adana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Steinar Flo made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Adana FC's Şafak Akdemir seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Şafak Akdemir the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Adana FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Şafak Akdemir had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
